About Butlers Bus and Coach Hire Cork....

Greetings! My name is Ian Butler, Managing Director of Butlers Buses.

My Dad, Sean Butler set up the business in 1967 at the age of 36 using a VW minibus servicing local schools and sports clubs like Cobh GAA and a factory run to Youghal Carpet Yarns. A lot has changed over the decades but we are still a strong family run business looking after the transport needs for the very same schools and clubs to this very day. Sean incidentally still keeps his hand in from time to time (when he is not too busy cycling)

I took over the full running of the business in 1993 when Sean officially retired and for a good number of years I clocked up considerable mileage travelling the highways and byways of Ireland, gaining great hands-on experience in the process. In 2005, I became the full time sales manager and today my main role is marketing Butlers and also the development/promotion of our websites/social media.

My brother, Kevin Butler joined me in 2003, becoming a director and shareholder shortly afterwards. Kevin also first gained his stripes on the road before becoming transport manager ensuring all vehicles are in impeccable running order and comply with all legal requirements at all times. A key part of Kevin's role as transport manager is responsibility for hiring and training all drivers as well as directing their day to day duties.

It makes me very proud that today we are one of the top private Coach and Bus Hire companies in Cork sporting one of the most modern fleet of vehicles in Ireland from our 6 seat luxury minivans to our mini buses right up to our full size 55 seat coaches.
